The BenefitsPRO Luminaries honor recognizes Dr. Nelson for several innovative new offerings she has led during the past year to better support the holistic needs of neurodivergent individuals and their families including:
- Launching monthly virtual discussion groups for parents led by BCBAs, which provide a place for them to share advice, seek support and discuss common parenting challenges related to neurodivergence.
- Expanding RethinkCare’s neurodiversity resources for the workplace, adding new on-demand and engaging courses for employees and managers covering topics like understanding neurodiversity, interviewing effectively, resolving conflict, and supporting neurodiverse peers. The company also launched high-touch neurodiversity consultations tailored for employees, managers and DEI/HR leaders on building more inclusive workplaces.
- Constructing participating employee outcomes tracking through evidence-based assessments in RethinkCare’s solutions. This allows employers to understand how neurodiversity digital training and consultations reduce parents’ stress levels, and improve parenting confidence, workforce inclusion, and performance indicators.
“As a specialist in working with parents raising children and teens with learning, social and behavioral challenges, Angela has been instrumental in developing RethinkCare’s parenting solution, which is the first and only employer-based offering to provide Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA)-led parent training at scale,” said RethinkFirst CEO Daniel Etra. “The new offerings she and her team spearheaded have helped employees immensely across the globe, with more than 4 out of 5* participants reporting that usage of RethinkCare resources reduced their stress and anxiety.”
